A restorative weekend full of nature, learning, connecting, yoga and delicious food spent in Malibu at a beautiful cottage in an Olive Grove, come as a staycation or make nearby reservations, You'll enjoy the deep learning of Yoga, Ayurveda and through this understanding of self how to create more Action towards your purpose in the world. Everyday we will provide breakfast and lunch created by our amazing Ayurvedic chef, Nicky Dawada.
Ayurveda is a gorgeous salve for many complaints, sufferings, and frustrations in life. However, oftentimes what brings us to the realization of the need for change requires more than simply a salve on the external discomforts. The need for change certainly shows on the skin, but the act of it is more than skin deep.
In this retreat, we will learn the concepts of Ayurvedic Yoga through conversation and applied practice of Asana, Pranayama, and Awareness exercises in the mornings and afternoons. Then, each day we will discern how to put them into functional daily life related action and how to allow these principals become more active in the changes you want to see in the world.
Yoga and Ayurveda believe in the interweaving of elements. Thus, our yoga and ayurveda practices serve us best when we can see how the patterns reveal themselves outside of the yoga space - in fact, they do best when we are able to see all places, people, circumstances as yoga spaces all the time!
We will have 2 yoga classes per day, each focused to build on the elements of self care and physical and psychological adjustment we are hoping to move into. Each day we will also spend time actualizing tools to apply to translate the practices from yoga and ayurveda into action applicable to the modern Western paradigm. We will also have some time to receive an Aryuvedic reading or receive a Thai Massage and some calming time to sit and take in all the beauty life has to offer!

Fly- the closest airport is LAX followed by BUR
Ride Share- About 2 weeks prior to the retreat we will send out a group email to see who would be able to ride share!
Accommodations- In an effort to allow this training and restorative weekend be affordable we do not include accommodations. However there are many great hotels and Airbnb's available in Malibu. If you need help making arrangements or are looking for a roommate please let us know and we will be happy to help.
Yoga- every class will be designed in a way that will be available too all levels of practitioners. From very beginners to advanced, all are welcome!
Food Allergies- Please let us know any dietary restrictions you may have and our chef will make arrangements for you at his delight.
Schedule conflict- If you need to arrive late or leave early no worries we are just happy to have you. Please let us know ahead of time though.
Packing- pack a bathing suit, comfortable walking shoes and a few pairs of your favorite yoga clothes. Also any props or particular mats you need but we will have a few available as well.
