Holi Festival Retreat (Goa, India)

Yogamour Volunteer Yoga Retreat in Jaipur India

Join us for our journey to the beautiful coast line of Goa to celebrate Holi, also known as the Festival of Color or Festival of Love.

Led by Rebeccah Bartlett, this retreat allows for volunteering with children inside of one of Goa's local orphanages. There are many hotels being built in this area and unfortunately this means there are many migrant workers who are treated unfairly. Since Goa has more financial stability than other parts of India some workers abandon their children here in dreams of a better future for them and we will be learning about the possibilities for these children, their daily lives and become an active part of supporting their future by working within a school that has been a long time support system with in this area. Areas of volunteer work will be based on your own life experience and personal interests. From yoga and art, to language and computer skills, you will be free to create your own unique, teacher-student experience with the children of Goa.

Volunteering
After 10 years of Yogamour working within special schools and communities we've been able to create volunteer projects where In just one of week, you will not only leave behind a positive impact on a wonderful, deserving community, but develop memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. This year we will be doing some community development work by sitting down and to have some creative planning sessions for the school and to help them better strategize for their future and to help support each voice being herd. We will also do some general repairs around the school so weather you like to work with your hands, or you enjoy organizational or you are just looking to lead with your heart there is plenty for everyone to do!

Accommodation & Cuisine
We will be staying in a luxury 4 star hotel in Goai. The hotel has an aryuvedic herb garden you can view from the yoga room and tries to grow much of their own food and can accommodate all diets providing safe natural produce to ensure that even raw salads are safe. The hotel has an outside oases, two pools and gift shops so even on days that you feel like being low key there is plenty to do within the hotel grounds.

Additional Activities
No day will be complete without a dose of traditional Indian culture; look forward to sari shopping in the bustling marketplaces, authentic Indian cooking class and exploring ancient temples, palaces and mausoleums. Please note that all excursions are optional and although we do provide a fun-filled schedule we will always do our best to accommodate your wishes.

Optional journaling, meditation and yoga practice will provide solace and reflection to the days well served. We will also be offering a few 'Special Focus' workshops to help you deepen your practice of yoga on and off the mat.  This retreat will not only allow for emotional and physical restoration, but for spiritual fortitude, and a life-changing experience amongst the rich and vibrant culture of India.
